Abstract
This proposed research examines how financial delegation arrangements relate to spending control in Kenyan nonprofit organizations. It focuses on approval limits, separation of responsibilities, supporting documentation, and escalation procedures. Interviews with programme and finance staff, combined with expenditure record reviews, will investigate how delegated authority operates in practice. The study aims to identify arrangements that balance timely programme implementation with clear responsibility for financial decisions and consistent expenditure monitoring.
