Abstract
This proposed research explores the relationship between sales territory planning and salesperson productivity in Nigerian consumer goods companies. It considers customer allocation, travel distances, account potential, and workload balance. Sales records and employee interviews will be used to examine associations with customer coverage, selling time, and sales outcomes. The study aims to develop recommendations for territory design that improve the use of sales resources while accounting for differences in market potential and geographic accessibility.
