This proposed study examines the relationship between budgetary participation and managerial accountability in Egyptian private hospitals. It focuses on departmental involvement in budget preparation, clarity of financial responsibilities, feedback quality, and monitoring practices. Surveys of department heads and interviews with finance managers will explore how participation relates to budget ownership and expenditure control. The study aims to identify budgeting practices that support responsible resource use while accommodating the operational requirements of healthcare services.
