This proposed study explores how demand forecasting accuracy relates to production waste in Kenyan dairy processing firms. It examines forecasting methods, sales information sharing, seasonal demand patterns, and production scheduling. Historical sales and production records will be analyzed alongside interviews with operations personnel. The research aims to identify sources of forecasting error and recommend planning improvements that reduce spoilage, balance production with customer demand, and support efficient use of perishable raw materials.
