Abstract
The study examines investment appraisal methods used for sustainable infrastructure projects, focusing on risk controls, cost forecasting accuracy, and governance structures. It uses case-based analysis and financial metrics to compare projects with different evaluation practices. The paper tests whether stronger risk documentation and scenario analysis lead to more stable execution and improved financial outcomes. Results indicate that organizations using structured uncertainty planning reduce delays and cost overruns. The conclusion highlights best practices for finance teams and project governance.
