Abstract
This study examines whether community-based mentorship programs improve students’ school attendance, course completion, and confidence in academic planning. Using matched comparison groups across several districts, the research evaluates program intensity, mentor training, and student engagement practices. The results suggest that consistent mentor-student interaction and goal-setting activities are associated with better learning persistence. The findings also discuss implementation barriers such as schedule mismatch and limited mentor retention.
