Abstract
This econometric study analyzes the relationship between weather variability patterns and smallholder maize production in Zimbabwe's communal farming areas. Using 20 years of climatic and agricultural data, the research identifies rainfall distribution and temperature extremes as significant determinants of yield volatility. Adaptation strategies including drought-tolerant varieties are recommended.
