Abstract

This research aims to investigate the relationship between authentic leadership and organizational citizenship behavior, while examining the mediating role of organizational agility within electricity distribution companies in Nigeria. The study targets the vital energy sector in Nigeria, which is undergoing significant structural and regulatory transformations, applying a quantitative descriptive-analytical approach to a sample of 210 managers and departmental supervisors working in electricity distribution companies. Data was collected using a structured questionnaire administered to leaders and employees within the targeted departments. The study employed advanced statistical techniques utilizing structural equation modeling (SEM). The findings reveal a statistically significant positive effect of authentic leadership in driving and enhancing employees' organizational citizenship behavior, highlighting the importance of transparent and ethical leadership styles in motivating individuals to perform beyond formal job requirements.
