Abstract

This archaeological research investigates the cultural and ceremonial significance of geoglyphs created by pre-Columbian societies in Chile's Atacama Desert. Field surveys and iconographic analysis suggest that these massive ground drawings functioned as territorial markers and pilgrimage waypoints linked to llama caravan routes. The study emphasizes the need for conservation efforts.
