Abstract
This proposed research investigates how repair service accessibility relates to the useful lifespan of household appliances in Senegal. It examines repair costs, technician availability, access to spare parts, and clarity of diagnostic information. Household surveys and technician interviews will explore decisions to repair, replace, or discontinue using appliances. The study aims to identify service arrangements that make repair more accessible and clarify the practical barriers that lead consumers to abandon otherwise repairable products.
